The Warriors Business Community (WBC) offers an opportunity for a cohort of business students to live, learn and develop professional connections together right here on Wayne State's main campus in the heart of Midtown Detroit. The WBC will be located in Towers Residential Suites.
The WBC encourages community involvement, supports academic success, and provides a fun atmosphere for students to form lasting relationships with other future professionals, as well as current business leaders throughout metro Detroit.

Incentives for fall 2023 sophomore and junior students:
The first 40 Ilitch School fall 2023 sophomore or junior students to join the WBC LLC will receive:
- $100 awarded toward tuition and fees at the end of the fall 2023 semester for meeting the following requirements:
- Completed a minimum of 12 semester hours during the fall 2023 semester toward a business major and achieved a minimum 2.25 overall GPA
- Attended a minimum of four WBC events
- Met with an advisor in the Ilitch School Career Planning and Placement Office
- $100 awarded toward tuition and fees at the end of the winter 2024 semester for meeting the following requirements:
- Completed a minimum of 12 semester hours during the winter 2023 semester toward a business major and achieved a minimum 2.25 overall GPA
- Attended a minimum of four WBC events
- Attended a minimum of one event sponsored by the Ilitch School Career Planning and Placement Office
- SPECIAL INCENTIVE: Students who earned both the fall 2023 $100 incentive AND the winter 2024 $100 incentive AND achieved a minimum overall 3.0 GPA, after both the fall 2023 and winter 2024 semesters, will receive $250 toward tuition and fees for the fall 2024 semester.
**Please note: Institution funds such as the Warrior, Gold or WSU Promise awards are funded in part by this scholarship offer. If received, this award may replace or reduce these funds or other institutional dollars. In addition, the sum of all aid cannot exceed the financial aid cost of attendance. If you are concerned with how this scholarship may affect your scholarships and/or financial aid, you must contact the Financial Aid office.
Eligibility for the WBC LLC:
- Current Mike Ilitch School of Business student
- Sophomore/junior year student at Wayne State University for fall 2023 (*note: senior students may be eligible depending on space and availability - you should still apply if interested!)
- Planning to live in a residence hall on campus
Requirements for joining the Warrior Business Community LLC:
- Complete the WSU Housing application and select Warrior Business Community Living Learning Community
- Live on the Warrior Business Community LLC floor in Towers Residential Suites with a WBC assigned roommate
- Follow the Warrior Business Community LLC agreement in the Warrior Business Community LLC application
