Are you interested in a career in accounting or finance? Apply to join MPREP (Multicultural Professional Readiness Education Program) Scholars!
MPREP Scholars is a Mike Ilitch School of Business learning community designed to encourage, support, develop and retain multicultural, undergraduate business students–with special emphasis on accounting and finance majors–from the day you arrive on campus to the day you walk across the stage at commencement. The program is funded in part by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), a Big 4 public accounting firm in Detroit.
As an MPREP Scholar, you'll be part of a tight-knit, supportive community focused on expanding diversity in lucrative and rewarding financial professions. Benefits include:
- Corporate mentorship: Long-term, one-on-one mentoring with Detroit-based accounting and finance professionals
- Professional development: Workshops and internships
- Industry exposure: Networking events, industry tours and involvement with professional organizations
- Academic support: Tutoring and study groups
The majority of our M.P.R.E.P. Scholars are of African-American/Black and Latino/a/x descent, however our learning community is open to all who are interested in being involved. If you would like to learn more about the program or recommend a fellow student for participation, please contact Lynita Taylor.
