Tingting Yan named Charles H. Gershenson Distinguished Faculty Fellow

Mike Ilitch School of Business Professor of Global Supply Chain Management Tingting Yan has been selected as a recipient of Wayne State University’s prestigious Charles H. Gershenson Distinguished Faculty Fellowship.

The Charles H. Gershenson Distinguished Faculty Fellowship recognizes WSU faculty members whose continuing achievements and current activities in scholarship, research, or the fine and performing arts are nationally distinguished. The fellowships are part of the benefaction to Wayne State by the late Charles H. Gershenson, who served on the university’s Board of Governors in the 1960s. The term of the fellowship is two years.

Yan is a highly respected teacher and researcher who joined the Ilitch School faculty in 2011. Over the years, she has built a prosperous research stream seeking answers for one question: “How can a firm better innovate by managing its supply network as well as understanding its suppliers’ extended networks?” Her research areas include supply network, supplier innovation value, nexus supplier, new product development, behavioral factors in buyer-supplier innovation and more.

The 2021 recipients of the Charles H. Gershenson Distinguished Faculty Fellowship were announced as part of WSU’s annual Academic Recognition Week, a campus-wide celebration of faculty and academic staff for their contributions to the university, academic community and professional development.
