Ilitch School Global Supply Chain Management programs rank top 25 in the United States in Gartner rankings

Both the graduate and undergraduate Global Supply Chain Management programs at Wayne State University’s Mike Ilitch School of Business have been ranked in the top 25 in the nation by Gartner, an organization that releases rankings every other year.

A leading industry research company, Gartner provides these rankings to support supply chain leaders seeking top young talent to fill their ranks. Considerations include industry value, program scope, and size.

The Ilitch School’s Global Supply Chain Management graduate programs ranked 20 on the Gartner list, its highest ranking so far. The undergraduate Global Supply Chain program ranked 21, defending its 2022 spot.

Associate Professor of Global Supply Chain Management and Chair of the department Hakan Yildiz was excited to see that they have significantly improved their graduate program rankings and had maintained their undergraduate rank in 2024.

“These rankings are a testament to our faculty’s hard work, who bring their expertise and experience into the classroom with great enthusiasm,” said Yildiz. “By being located at the heart of the global automotive industry, we take advantage of the close relationships we build with our industry partners to provide our students superb opportunities for networking, and experiential learning such as internships, projects and case studies, which all lead to great job opportunities.”

Ilitch School Dean Virginia Kleist was also happy about the rankings, commenting that “I am so proud to see our supply chain programs once again recognized as among the top in the nation. Supply chain faculty have been hard at work updating their courses with new technology and best industry practices learned from their decades of experience as supply chain scholars and professionals. Any student who enrolls in this program at the graduate or undergraduate level will certainly be well prepared to become a leader in this industry.”
