Shanese Ross receives Emerging Leader Award from National Black MBA Association

Shanese Ross Mike Ilitch School of Business graduate student advisor Shanese Ross has been named the 2018 Emerging Leader by the Detroit Chapter of the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA). Ross was elected director of membership of the chapter last year. 

The Emerging Leader Award is presented to a newly transitioned NBMBAA Detroit Chapter board member who exemplifies the values and mission of the association, excellence in the business profession, and who is valued as a strong leader within the chapter.

Ross will be presented with the award during the 33rd Annual Scholarship and Awards Dinner on Thursday, May 10, 2018.

The National Black MBA Association Detroit Chapter was incorporated in 1976 with the vision of establishing and maintaining an effective communication device for the African-American manager. Membership is open to individuals who are proven entrepreneurs or pursuing or have obtained a master of business administration degree. The group's mission is to assist in the creation of intellectual and economic wealth within the African-American community, and it offers professional and leadership development to all members and provides employee recruitment activities to corporate partners. The Detroit Chapter is currently one of the 10 largest chapters within the NBMBAA.
