Jack Zwick to discuss accounting for sport and entertainment March 28

The Sport and Entertainment Business Association (SEBA) and the Mike Ilitch School of Business Department of Accounting present a lecture by Jack Zwick, CPA, on Wednesday, March 28, at 6 p.m. in Student Center Room 010. Several pairs of Detroit Tigers Opening Day tickets will be given away during the event. 

Zwick is a certified public accountant, and a founding member of Zwick & Banyai PLLC, certified public accountants. He is the audit partner for all Nederlander operations (an international company involved in legitimate theatre and concert facilities) and the audit partner for the Detroit Red Wings entertainment and hockey operations, Florida Panthers, and numerous franchises in Major League Baseball.

Zwick has written several articles, including one on theatre accounting, and presented a tax paper entitled, "Professional Sports Franchises: The Evolution of Income Tax Treatment of Related Intangible Assets."

He holds a bachelor of arts in accountancy and a master of science from Wayne State University.
