Ilitch School once again ranked among U.S. News and World Report’s Best Undergraduate Business Programs

The Mike Ilitch School of Business at Wayne State University received its highest ranking in seven years in the U.S. News and World Report’s “Best Colleges” 2022 edition under the specialty Best Undergraduate Business Programs. The school came in at 190th, up 11 places from last year.

A total of 514 colleges and universities are ranked for their undergraduate business programs, and 15 are in Michigan. Of the Michigan schools ranked, Wayne State’s program was third in the state behind the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and Michigan State University.

U.S. News also ranks the Ilitch School among the nation’s Best Part-Time M.B.A. Programs. Wayne State came in at 158th in 2022, up 17 places from last year.

For a business school to be listed in the U.S. News rankings, it must be accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Less than 5% of the world’s 16,000 business schools meet the rigorous standards for AACSB accreditation.

Rankings listed in the report are based solely on peer assessment, which was conducted during the spring of this year. Additional information about the 2022 Best Colleges Guide can be found on the U.S. News website.
