Equal pay fact sheet: beyond the gender gap of 77 cents for every dollar

According to a McKinsey survey, 19 percent of women hold a C-suite position. In the May 2013 issue of the Harvard Business Review, research by Wayne State University School of Business Administration professors Sudip Datta, Abhijit Guha and Mai Iskandar-Datta found that women in chief financial officer (CFO) positions earn about $4,000 less annually than men who work for similar companies with similar education/work backgrounds.
