CARMA hosts first online workshop

On January 17, Wayne State University’s Center for the Advancement of Research Methods and Analysis (CARMA) hosted its first-ever online workshop. The topic of the four-hour workshop was "Introduction to Confirmatory Factor Analysis."

This introduction to confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) provided an overview of CFA, discussion of special issues related to its application in organizational research and a comparison of CFA with traditional analytical approaches.

The workshop, which was led by Larry Williams, CARMA’s director and professor of management in WSU’s School of Business Administration, contained a balance of lecture and hands-on data analysis.

More than 20 participants from universities around the world participated. Represented universities included WSU, Colorado State University, WHU-Otto Beisheim, New Mexico State University, University of Connecticut, University of Minnesota, University Institute of Lisbon and Illinois State University.

CARMA’s next online workshop is February 7.
