Why choose technology, information systems and analytics at the Ilitch School of Business?

Discover the excellence and convenience of the online technology, information systems and analytics (TISA) program at Wayne State University’s Mike Ilitch School of Business. We have tailored this major specifically for students who have completed the equivalent of an associate degree in business at a community college. Through four semesters at the Ilitch School, you can graduate with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Administration with a major in technology, information systems and analytics.

As a TISA major, learn how to manage and leverage technology, including databases, data networks, software tools and systems analysis. Learn from our distinguished faculty, who help you practice your knowledge and apply your skills through hands-on projects with real-world applications.

Experience the flexibility of our fully online program, which consists of both synchronous classes, where you log in simultaneously with professors and peers, and asynchronous courses, which allow you to access prerecorded lectures at your convenience. In addition, most online students pay Michigan resident tuition rates. Contact an advisor for more information.

Our commitment to your success goes beyond the classroom. The Ilitch School also helps you access paid internships and personalized student opportunities so you can gain a competitive edge in a technology-driven world.

Online students pursuing a degree in business administration with a technology, information systems and analytics major can earn either a bachelor of arts (B.A.) or a bachelor of science (B.S.). Both programs include the same core courses, with the B.A. adding a foreign language requirement.

Contact an academic advisor to determine which degree aligns best with your goals.

Fast-track your graduate business education with the AGRADE program. TISA juniors and seniors with qualifying GPAs can have up to 12 business course credits count toward both a bachelor’s and a master’s from the Ilitch School.

This format streamlines your path toward a graduate degree and reduces the tuition by as much as one-third.

The Ilitch School recognizes high-achieving business students with an honors distinction. TISA majors who maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher may enroll in courses that incorporate an honors component.
