Why choose technology, information systems and analytics at the Ilitch School?

We focus on preparing you to tackle real-world challenges, apply your skills in practical situations and emerge as a valuable asset to organizations seeking tech-savvy professionals.

Our program's skills-focused approach encompasses a broad spectrum of courses, including application systems, data mining, system design and development, data communications, and artificial intelligence. At the Ilitch School, students pursuing a degree in business administration with a technology, information systems and analytics major can opt for either a bachelor of arts (B.A.) or a bachelor of science (B.S.) degree. Both pathways encompass the same curriculum, with the primary distinction being that the B.A. includes a foreign language requirement.

TISA majors should select the degree that aligns best with their academic and career objectives and can contact an academic advisor with any questions.

High-achieving technology, information systems and analytics majors have the opportunity to join the AGRADE program, which allows them to take up to 12 business credits toward both their bachelor's and a master's degree from Ilitch School. By participating in AGRADE, students not only expedite their academic journey but can also potentially reduce the overall expenses of a WSU graduate business degree by as much as one-third.

Technology, information systems and analytics students who maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher are eligible to enroll in courses that incorporate an honors component. After successfully completing 15 honors credits, students earn an honors distinction that the university recognizes on their official transcript and diploma.
