Cooperative education program
The Mike Ilitch School of Business also participates in the University Cooperative Education (Co-op) Program in which students alternate semesters of work and academic study.
Eligibility for the Co-op program begins in the sophomore year or upon having earned more than a minimum of 30 semester hours. Additionally, a minimum overall grade point average of 2.8 is required and the co-op needs to align with the major. Students interested in this program should contact the Hessler Student Success Center, room 101; 313-577-4510.
Students admitted to the Co-op program with a minimum sophomore standing should recognize that it may take an additional semester or more to fulfill the requirements for the bachelors degree.
No academic credit is granted for participation in the Co-op Program; Satisfactory (S) / Unsatisfactory (U) grades are given, however, and are entered on the official University transcript.
