Mentor programs
The Mike Ilitch School of Business at Wayne State University offers two impactful mentorship programs through its Career Services Office: the Corporate Mentor Program (CMP) sponsored by Ally and the Advancing Career Experience (ACE) Mentor Program.
Both programs aim to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional achievement, empowering students to gain industry insights, build meaningful networks, and develop the confidence to navigate their career paths. For more information and to participate as a mentor or mentee, please visit Ilitch School's Xinspire site. Questions about our mentor programs, please contact Ilitch School Career Services at ilitchcareers@wayne.edu or call 313-577-4781.
Corporate Mentor Program (CMP)
The Corporate Mentor Program (CMP) incorporates an intentional effort to help first-generation, undergraduate students further explore a career direction and become college-to-career ready. First-generation means that neither of the student's parents have graduated with a bachelor's degree.
CMP is a formal mentoring program that focuses on one-on-one relationships to help participating business students develop a professional identity and a clearer vision for their career path.
Requirements
Applicants to the program must be a current Mike Ilitch School of Business undergraduate student and a first-generation college student as defined above.
