Stellantis promotes Ilitch School graduate to vice president
Mike Ilitch School of Business alumnus and volunteer Christopher Mattingly has been named vice president of transportation for Stellantis North America.
A 1983 graduate, Mattingly has been with the company that is now Stellantis for his entire career. He began with Chrysler in 1984 as a production supervisor at the Warren Truck Assembly Plant and rose swiftly through a series of management roles to earn more than 30 years of diverse experience in the automotive supply chain. Before his most recent promotion, Mattingly served as director of component capacity and production scheduling.
Mattingly has served on the Ilitch School’s Board of Visitors since 2016 and currently serves as the board’s vice chair. He is also a longtime mentor to business students as part of the Ilitch School’s Corporate Mentor Program and serves on the school’s Global Supply Chain Management Advisory Board.
In addition to his B.S. in operations management from Wayne State, Mattingly earned M.S. in business administration and general management from Central Michigan University.
