Ilitch School of Business offers Executive MS in automotive supply chain management in fully online modality
The Mike Ilitch School of Business’ Executive MS in Automotive Supply Chain Management will be available in a fully online modality starting in fall 2023, to bring the top-notch education available at this Carnegie 1 research institution to students around the world.
“This program is one of the only supply chain management master’s programs that focuses on the automotive industry,” said Lori Sisk, an assistant professor of teaching in the global supply chain management program. “Wayne State is located at the heart of the global automotive industry, which provides our faculty direct access to the developments happening in the auto industry, and our faculty can in turn bring these emerging ideas into the classroom.”
Since the program is offered fully online, out-of-state students will be able to register at in-state tuition rates, amounting to a 50% reduction in tuition costs. Online students will have more flexibility to study and take classes on their schedule, without interfering with their personal and professional commitments, while still having access to all the resources available at the university ranked best in Michigan for social mobility by U.S. News & World Report.
“Lectures by industry professionals and collaborations with companies will provide real-world perspectives and keep students updated on current trends and challenges,” said Hakan Yildiz, chair of the global supply chain management department. “Completing our program will enhance career prospects and open doors to new opportunities. Students will expand their professional network by connecting with classmates, alumni, faculty members, and industry professionals through virtual platforms.”
These programs are also available to international students, provided they are not on an F1 or J1 visa. Area businesses can also take advantage of this program. By sending a cohort of 25 students they will receive a 10% reduction in tuition.
The enrollment deadline for fall semester is August 1, 2023, and the deadline for winter semester is December 1, 2023. Interested students will need to have graduated with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 2.75 and submit a transcript and resume along with their online application.
