Get to know Lori Sisk

Biography

Lori Sisk is a Supply Chain Assistant Professor of Teaching at Wayne State University. She has over 28 years of experience in Supply Management in industry and as a consultant. Lori has her C.P.S.M. and holds an MBA and a BSBA with a major in Procurement from BGSU.

In addition to her role as an Assistant Professor of Teaching, she is the Advisor to the GSCMA (Global Supply Chain Management (Student) Organization), WCG (Warrior Consulting Group (Student) Organization, Supply Chain Advisory Council Co-Leader, Program Coordinator of WSU/AIAG Supply Chain Certificate Program, AIAG SC Steering Committee member, Career Coach, and a member of several committees. She has been awarded “Inspirational Teacher of the Year Award” and the Service Award in 2019 by Wayne State and in 2018, awarded “Teacher of the Year Award” by the Denver Transportation Club.

She is very active in her community as Vice-President of Kiwanis of Troy which provides support to the Key Clubs at the local high schools and improves children’s lives one community at a time. She is also a member of Troy Foundation of Educational Excellence (TFEE) which provides support to the Troy School District, Troy Women’s Association (TWA) which provides money and services to the Troy Community, Troy Chamber of Commerce and Detroit Chamber of Commerce. She is also a former PTO President and Girl Scout Troop Leader.

As a Lori has been a member of ISM (Institute of Supply Management) for 30 years. She has been active at the National, Regional and for the SE Michigan chapter; she is currently a Director and was President in 1999 and 2018. She is also currently on the Education Committee at the National level. Lori was awarded the Leadership District Person of the Year and the Public Relations District Person of the Year in the past.

In her free time, Lori mostly enjoys spending time with her 16 year old daughter, Elena, family, friends, and her dogs.
