Warrior Ventures

Warrior Ventures is a proposed student-run venture capital fund. Students will identify early-stage funding opportunities, conduct research and analysis, make recommendations, manage investments and exit. Funding will be targeted for WSU students, faculty and alumni, with some opportunities available for non-WSU affiliated companies. Students will be supported by the BELL Board and faculty advisor. Investments of up to $25,000 are planned.

Technology Pitch Competition

All current WSU students are invited to submit their technology pitch in this annual competition that takes place in March. Students of any major may apply. Cash investments are awarded to winning teams. Pitches should be technology-based. Teams can be composed of up to four current WSU undergraduate or graduate students. Prototype/Minimum viable product is recommended. Sign up to receive email updates about the competition.

Ilitch Business Consulting Clinic

Teams of Ilitch School students offer consulting services to businesses and nonprofit organizations with faculty guidance. Both short and long-term engagements are available with a wide variety of areas including marketing, research, finance, accounting, supply chain, technology and strategic planning. Student consultants participate in a structured format through independent studies. Project assistance is available to companies and organizations September through April. Applications should be received by August 1.

BELL Insights Series

The BELL is introducing an ongoing series of conferences, panel discussions and workshops designed to provide insights and inspiration. A range of topics on the minds of inventors, innovators and entrepreneurs are explored, and you can hear from experienced entrepreneurs who have brought their idea to life, develop a team and a culture to grow and to overcome challenges and setbacks along the way. Sessions will explore the various stages of venture development and a range of sectors and industries. These sessions will be open to WSU students, alumni, faculty and staff, startups, and the entrepreneurial community.
