Tingting Yan named “Best Associate Editor” for two prestigious journals

At the 2020 annual meeting of the Academy of Management, Mike Ilitch School of Business Associate Professor of Supply Chain Management Tingting Yan was named the 2019 Best Associate Editor for two top academic journals in the field of supply chain management: Journal of Operations Management and Journal of Supply Chain Management.

Both Journal of Operations Management and Journal of Supply Chain Management are leading journals in the field of operations and supply chain management. Their missions are to publish original, empirical, high-impact research that demonstrates both academic and practical relevance. These two journals have ranked 1st or 2nd for years by their high-impact factors in the field of supply chain management.

Yan is a highly respected teacher and researcher who joined the Ilitch School faculty in 2011. Her research areas include supply network, supplier innovation value, nexus supplier, new product development, behavioral factors in buyer-supplier innovation and more. Over the years, she has built a prosperous research stream seeking answers for one question: “How can a firm better innovate by managing its supply network as well as understanding its suppliers’ extended networks?”
