Mbodja Mougoué appointed as associate editor for International Journal of Finance and Economics

Mike Ilitch School of Business Professor of Finance Mbodja Mougoué has been appointed as an associate editor for the International Journal of Finance and Economics (IJFE).

IJFE’s aim is to publish high-quality articles relating to issues in international finance that impact national and global economies.

Mougoué’s role as an associate editor will be to help manage the workflow of the journal, act as a referee for papers, source additional referees and to assist authors with improving their research. The appointment term will last until Sept. 1, 2024, and may be extended based on contributions made during the initial term.

Mougoué holds a Ph.D. in financial economics from the University of New Orleans and has guest-edited a special issue of Sustainability. He is a member of the editorial board of Revue Internationale des Economistes de Langue Française.

In announcing the appointment (pdf), Mougoué was recognized for his research published in several prestigious academic journals such as the Journal of Forecasting, Computational Statistics and Data Analysis, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Empirical Finance, and the Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions & Money.

Mougoué received the Ilitch School’s Distinguished Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2009.
