M.B.A. student named WSU Athletics external engagement specialist

Wayne State University Director of Athletics Rob Fournier has selected Mike Ilitch School of Business graduate student Nicole Werling to serve as external engagement specialist for the department.
Werling, a 2021 graduate of WSU with a bachelor's in public relations, has been an executive administrative assistant with the Detroit Pistons since June of 2021 where she worked for the chief business officer.
She has been a feature story writer for the WSU athletic department starting in January of 2020 and also spent 18 months as a communications and operations intern for Crait Logistics, LLC.
Werling is currently pursuing an M.B.A. at the Ilitch School with a concentration in sport and entertainment management.
