What are your primary teaching interests?

My primary teaching interests are MIS, Business Analytics, Data Science, and Digital Transformation.

What are your primary research interests?

My primary research interests are Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, and Digital Trust.

Tell me about your background in Technology?

My journey with technology started during my master's degree when I noticed the ability of simple algorithms to replace many of the "human's repetitive" work. I wanted to learn more about technologies, thus I completed my post graduate diploma in Information Technology. I then took a deeper dive in my PhD to learn more about Blockchain as a foundation for a new digital trust.

Why did you come to the Ilitch School of Business?

I came to the Ilitch School of Business to be part of the great mission to "Innovate, Impact, and Inspire." I believe it is an amazing place with such wonderful people and it is the right environment for me to grow.

What makes you passionate about business education?

Relevance. Our students can relate any topic that we discuss to many things they experience every day. For example, with the current transformational role of AI in people's lives and businesses, it is important to embed a receptive mindset to work with AI not against AI.

What is one thing you wish all your students would do?

I am very keen to convey to all my students that education is a continuous and endless process. The true thing is to teach them how to learn. As continuous learners, their knowledge will help them navigate any challenges they might have in the future. With that we can always find innovative ways to teach and learn, so that we can have more impact, and thus inspire.

What are you excited about seeing in Detroit?

I am excited about seeing the smiles of our students after great achievements. I am excited about seeing and hearing our students telling us what they did during their degree and what impact they had and will have on Detroit and beyond. It is great to be part of these successful stories.
