Ilitch School alumna appointed to Michigan State Board of Accountancy

Ilitch School M.B.A. graduate and adjunct faculty member Eulonda N. Whitmore has been appointed to the Michigan State Board of Accountancy. The board is responsible for the certification, licensure, and regulation of certified public accountants and public accounting firms in Michigan.  

A resident of Detroit, Whitmore is director of audits and acting associate vice president and chief audit executive for the Wayne State University Office of Internal Audit. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Michigan State University and a Master of Business Administration from Wayne State’s Mike Ilitch School of Business, where she also teaches as a part-time faculty member.

Whitmore is appointed to represent the general public for a term commencing October 30, 2020, and expiring June 30, 2023. She succeeds fellow Wayne State Warrior Matthew Roling, who resigned to focus on his new role as executive director of the university’s new Office of Business Innovation.

This appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Michigan State Senate.
