Ilitch Business student-athletes receive All-GLIAC recognition for men’s golf

The Wayne State University men’s golf program had seven student-athletes named to the GLIAC (Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) All-Academic Teams, including a school-record tying five to the All-Academic Excellence squad. Five of this year’s recipients are Mike Ilitch School of Business student-athletes.

Receiving All-Academic Excellence Team honors for maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 are redshirt seniors Grant Haefner (management) and Carson McKinlay (global supply chain management), and senior Keaton Inglis (finance). Haefner and McKinlay were recognized for the fourth time in their careers, while Inglis was eligible for the first time after transferring from Muskegon C.C.

WSU had two golfers honored with All-Academic Team accolades for having a cumulative GPA between 3.0 and 3.49. They are redshirt sophomore Jack Tucker (management) and sophomore Garret Day (finance). Tucker collected his second award, while Day was recognized for the first time in his WSU career.
