Frederick Hessler Student Success Center welcomes a new member

Brandi Walthall-Johnson has joined the Wayne State University Mike Ilitch School of Business as a new undergraduate advisor in the Frederick Hessler Student Success Center.

The Hessler Center advises undergraduate students as they navigate the road to success.  Advisors offer a variety of services to students including goal-setting, developing four-year plans, creating personalized academic plans, processing registration and override requests, and handling hold releases.

Walthall-Johnson earned both a B.S. in interdisciplinary studies and a master’s in higher education from the University of Toledo.

Before joining Wayne State, she served in admissions and advising at Stark State College in Akron, Ohio.

“I’m excited about moving to Detroit and assisting students at WSU in accomplishing their academic goals,” Walthall-Johnson said.

Outside of advising, Walthall-Johnson enjoys spending time with her family, watching comedy specials and assisting her church’s children’s ministry.
