Whether you have dreams of running your own business or just want to explore startup culture in Detroit, the Mike Ilitch School of Business offers entrepreneurship & innovation classes and certificate programs for all Wayne State students. Learn from industry pros this winter with these project-based classes taught by seasoned startup leaders:

Introduction to Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Tuesdays 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesdays 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. or Thursdays 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

This course introduces the integrative new venture development framework, processes and tools applied throughout the program and explores opportunities, resources available and the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Start-Up Funding and Profitability 
Tuesdays 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

This course introduces students to basic accounting and financial information and the tools necessary to understand the workings and prospects a new venture; explore funding options for new ventures and develop financial projections required in a business plan.

Special Topic: Teams and Innovation Creation
Mondays 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
