Dr. Sung Gon Chung elected Korean American Accounting Professor Association president
Sung Gon Chung, Assistant Professor of Accounting at the WSU Mike Ilitch School of Business, was recently elected the Korean American Accounting Professor Association (KAPPA) president. Chung will serve in this role until August 2025.
Chung plans to enhance KAPPA’s membership benefits by organizing in-person seminars and expanding networking opportunities while tackling funding issues. "Enhancements like these will contribute to members’ personal and professional growth,” said Chung.
KAPPA is a nonprofit national organization that provides a platform for communication and networking among Korean accounting professors and doctoral students in North America, Asia, Europe, and other areas of the world. It also has more than 250 active members around the world.
