Faith Osei

What are your career goals?

My career goals are to work in private banking or the wealth management industry.

Why should students join MPREP/What have you gotten out of being an MPREP Scholar?

Students should join MPREP to learn more about networking, companies in Detroit, Michigan, or the surrounding Midwest region. It's also a great way to meet others that attend the Ilitch School.

What is your favorite thing about MPREP?

My favorite thing about MPREP is all the cool (and free) merch we get!

What are your career goals?

My goal is to grow my career as a human resource professional, leading people strategy development for a multinational or global organization. I am especially passionate about shaping company cultures, advancing DEI initiatives and reimagining the future of work.

Why should students join MPREP/What have you gotten out of being an MPREP Scholar?

MPREP provides students with the opportunity to start building their career paths while they are still in school. Students are given access to network with local business leaders and major organizations through different events, on and off campus, that are tailored for the business school programs.

What is your favorite thing about MPREP?

I am so grateful for the coaching and guidance that my mentor provides. Having the support of a professional mentor is a major contributing factor to my academic and professional success. Also connecting with like-minded students in the Ilitch School and building relationships.

Amulen RozmusHeadshot of Faith Osei

Management
Expected to graduate in May, 2026

What are your career goals?

With previous public and private sector internships, I am interested in consulting, finance, and economic development. I am also passionate about community service, and I aim to serve in elected office in the future.

Why should students join MPREP/What have you gotten out of being an MPREP Scholar?

MPREP is a unique program, focused on providing its Scholars with the support and resources they need to thrive during and after their academic careers. After joining MPREP, you will be paired with an industry professional mentor, have access to exclusive events with Detroit's leading companies and engage with their recruiters. Moreover, you will join a community of like-minded individuals, all excelling in their individual pursuits. If this describes what you are seeking, please become an MPREP Scholar!

What is your favorite thing about MPREP?

The internship and career opportunities provided by MPREP, through its relationships with Detroit's top companies, makes it a one-of-a-kind Ilitch Business program. Amulen would not have been able to intern at Accenture without MPREP.

Finance
Expected to graduate in May, 2025

What are your career goals?

I want to achieve a place in my career where I can successfully run the finances for my own startup, doing this by gaining necessary skills from multiple branching jobs until I've reached a point where I feel I'm ready.

Why should students join MPREP/What have you gotten out of being an MPREP Scholar?

MPREP is not only a safe space for minorities in the business school, but it provides them with resources to achieve the goals they've set out to do. From my personal experience I came into Wayne State with nothing and MPREP gave me all of the necessary resources, connections, and soft skills to capitalize off of.

What's your favorite thing about MPREP?

My favorite thing about MPREP is the potential for growth of each and every member who puts their best foot forward, and the family-like environment that has been created over time.
