Selena Al-Nimri

Selena Al-Nimri is pursuing a bachelor of science in business administration with a major in finance and global supply chain management at the Mike Ilitch School of Business. She expects to graduate in May of 2025. 

Al-Nimri has gained valuable experience as an investment strategist analyst intern at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, where she works with the portfolio management team to select products for their portfolio. She previously worked as a finance intern with Michigan Women Forward, a nonprofit organization that caters to small businesses around Detroit, and as an equity research intern at Loomis, Sayles & Company which allowed her to gained experience in the investment industry in Boston. 

This summer Al-Nimri will be working at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan as an investment analyst strategist, where she will evaluate external investment managers to include in the portfolio, generate compliance dashboards in assistance of the risk team and generate market commentary enhancing the team's ability to make informed investment decisions.  

Al-Nimri also demonstrates leadership through her work as the Co-Professional Chair of Wayne Women in Business. She has also won the Health Industry Distributors Association Emerging Leaders Scholarship, which allowed her to attend their renowned conference in Florida.
