Entrepreneurship and innovation minor

Undergraduate business majors and non-business students may earn a minor in entrepreneurship and innovation. This minor will provide students with specialized knowledge, skills and experience to develop and launch startup ventures or social impact ventures. The program will introduce innovative business thinking including creation and growth strategies, product and service development processes, new venture marketing and promotion, as well as financing evaluation through dynamic courses, networking and industry learning experiences.

The requirement for admission to a minor in entrepreneurship and innovation is a 2.5 GPA. For more information about the minor, please email eiadvisor@wayne.edu or call 313-577-4510.

Minor requirements

The entrepreneurship and innovation minor consists of a total of 15 credit hours. Courses must be completed with a minimum grade of C or better. There are two tracks available: Undergraduate business students and non-business students. 

Business student track

Business school students must take three required courses and two electives from the options below for a total of 15 credits. Prerequisites for each class must be completed. Courses used to fulfill the minor in entrepreneurship and innovation cannot be classes that are required for your major.
