WWJ: Marick Masters on UAW runoff election
Counting will begin today in the runoff election that will determine the presidency of the UAW. Turnout's a little heavier than the original election where neither incumbent President Ray Curry nor challenger Shawn Fain won a majority. Wayne State business professor Marick Masters expects a close outcome. "There is a distinct possibility that the Members United faction of the UAW could win, but I'm not placing any bets on that at this moment," said Masters.
