Mike Ilitch School of Business once again ranked among U.S. News & World Report’s 2024 Best Part-time M.B.A. Programs

The Mike Ilitch School of Business at Wayne State University has once again been ranked among U.S. News and World Report’s 2024 Best Part-time M.B.A. Programs. The Ilitch School Part-time M.B.A. Program continues to make steady gains in the rankings, placing 125th this year, up from 139th last year. This is an increase of 52 places over the last three years.

A total of 299 colleges and universities were ranked for their part-time M.B.A. programs, and 11 are in Michigan. Wayne State’s program was third in the state behind the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Schools are ranked according to their performance across a set of widely accepted indicators of excellence.

U.S. News also ranks the Ilitch School of Business among the nation’s Best Undergraduate Business Programs. The school ranked at 190th for 2022-23, its highest ranking since 2015.

For a business school to be listed in the U.S. News rankings, it must be accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Less than 5% of the world’s 16,000 business schools meet the rigorous standards for AACSB accreditation

Rankings listed in the report are based on peer assessment, GMAT and GRE scores, undergraduate GPA of part-time M.B.A. students, number of years of work experience of part-time M.B.A. students, and the ratio of part-time to full-time M.B.A. students.
