Ilitch School undergraduate business programs jump 31 places in US News and World Report Rankings

The Mike Ilitch School of Business is rising in the U.S. News & World Report undergraduate business programs rankings, receiving its highest rank since 2015. This year, the undergraduate business programs at the Ilitch School were ranked 159th in the nation, up 31 places from 190th last year.

There were 523 colleges and universities considered in the U.S. News & World Report undergraduate business programs (for more information, see its ranking methodology), 15 of which are in Michigan. The Ilitch School is also ranked among the nation’s top part-time MBA Programs, coming in at 125th in 2023, up from 158th in 2022.

Not every business program is eligible for a U.S. News & World Report ranking. To be included, a school must be accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, a rigorous standard of excellence that only 5% of the world’s business schools claim.

These rankings are based on peer assessment of the programs, conducted each year in the spring. Additional rankings for Wayne State University can be found on the U.S. News & World Report web site.
