Ilitch Business students awarded Transportation Club of Detroit supply chain scholarships

Two Mike Ilitch School of Business global supply chain management students, Thea Robbert and Sabrina Hussain, were recently announced as winners of the Transportation Club of Detroit (TCD) 2022 scholarship program.

Robbert, a senior in the Ilitch School, was awarded $3,750. She currently works as a student buyer for Stellantis and previously worked as an intern for Forvia Automotive, a major Tier 1 supplier. Robbert serves as membership chair for the Global Supply Chain Management Association, a student organization within the Ilitch School.

Hussain, a junior in the Ilitch School, was awarded $3,250. She currently works as a purchasing intern for Mahle Automotive and previously worked as a logistics coordinator for American Axle, another Tier 1 supplier.

This year, the TCD awarded around $25,000 in scholarships to students from several Michigan schools. Winning students were recognized at the TCD’s October meeting, where the president of the Truckload Carriers Association delivered a keynote speech.
