Ilitch Business student-athlete receives All-GLIAC recognition for women’s cross country
The Wayne State University women's cross country team had a strong day at the 2022 GLIAC (Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) Cross Country Championships at Willow Metropark, as the Warriors placed second out of 10 teams. The Green and Gold had five All-GLIAC performers, including one Mike Ilitch School of Business student-athlete.
Redshirt junior Thailyia Christensen (marketing) earned Second Team All-GLIAC honors with a 17th-place finish at the conference meet. She also received USTFCCCA All-Midwest Region accolades after finishing 21st place at the NCAA Regional meet. Christensen was WSU’s fourth runner at the NCAA National Championship meet, helping WSU finish ninth in the nation as a team.
