GSCM Students Win First Place in the 2023 Greg M. Sherrill Case Competition

Four WSU Mike Ilitch School of Business Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) students won first place in the Greg M. Sherrill Case Competition sponsored by the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. The event was held on April 8, 2023, at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. The team, composed of Najia Choudhury, Keara Paterson, Kelson Szydlowski, and Haadiyah Ricketts. 

The team competed against several universities from across the country, with five industry representatives serving as judges. They were judged on their ability to analyze the case, develop solutions, and present their findings effectively. 

“Our team was very well prepared. They proposed a unique, innovative solution that was well-received by the judges,” said Kevin Ketels, one of the team’s advisors and a faculty member at Wayne State University. 

The Greg M. Sherrill Case Competition is a prestigious national event that brings together some of the brightest minds in business to tackle complex real-world problems. This year's competition focused on supply chain management, and the Wayne State University team impressed the judges with their in-depth analysis, strategic thinking, and practical solutions.
