FEI Detroit honors Ilitch School students
The Detroit Chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI) will honor Mike Ilitch School of Business students John Kotlarczyk and Kevin Shehu at the organization's Academic Awards Night on Feb. 23 at the MSU Management Education Center.
The FEI Academic Award recognizes outstanding undergraduate and graduate students at universities in southeastern Michigan pursuing degrees that emphasize accounting or finance.
John Kotlarczyk
John Kotlarczyk will earn his M.B.A. this spring with a concentration in finance.
Upon graduation, Kotlarczyk plans to continue his employment with Tier 1 automotive supplier Toyoda Gosei North America, where he currently works as a commodity buyer and program manager. He leads and participates in several weekly cross-functional strategic meetings with manufacturing centers across business units to help ensure the success of new program launches.
Kotlarczyk earned his B.A. in accounting and global supply chain management from the Ilitch School in 2020.
Kevin Shehu
Kevin Shehu will graduate this spring with dual concentrations in accounting and finance. He has made the dean's list every semester at Wayne State.
Shehu is an active student outside of the classroom. He is a member of the Albanian American Student Organization and Beta Gamma Sigma, an invitation-only business honor society. Shehu also serves as the social media and event coordinator for the International Business Association and as the event coordinator for the Wayne State Finance Club.
