Dr. Biswas Selected for WSU Board of Governors Distinguished Faculty Fellow Award
The Mike Ilitch School of Business is proud to announce the selection of Dr. Abhijit Biswas, Professor of Marketing and Chair of the Department of Marketing, as a member of the thirty-seventh class of Wayne State University Board of Governors Distinguished Faculty Fellows.
The Distinguished Faculty Fellow award recognizes outstanding faculty members who have demonstrated excellence in teaching, scholarship and service. Dr. Biswas' selection for this award is a testament to his significant contributions to the Ilitch School of Business and Wayne State University.
Dr. Biswas is a prolific researcher who has published in top-tier academic journals such as the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, and the Journal of International Business Studies. He is also a dedicated professor and mentor, having played a crucial role in the development and success of many graduate students in marketing. In addition, Dr. Biswas serves on several editorial boards, including the Journal of Marketing, and has received numerous awards and recognitions for his contributions to the field of marketing.
When asked about his achievement, Dr. Biswas said, "I am grateful to those who nominated me for the Wayne State University Board of Governors Distinguished Faculty Fellow Award. I am honored and humbled to be selected for this award right on the heels of receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award for my work in Pricing.”
