John J. Latella

Entrepreneurship and Innovation Hall of Fame Class of 2024

John J. Latella '95, J.D. is the Founder of Legacy Fantasy Sports, and a principal of Latella, Inc., a business consulting practice focused on small closely held companies. With an expertise in family-owned enterprises Mr. Latella has over 20 years of executive management and entrepreneurial experience in Southeast Michigan. Most notable, Mr. Latella is the former CEO/General Counsel-Co-Owner of Garden Fresh Gourmet, where he lead over 450 team members in the creation and sale of North America's #1 selling salsa. As CEO, Mr. Latella was instrumental in the all cash sale of Garden Fresh Gourmet to The Campbell Soup Company in 2015. 

Mr. Latella is a member of Salvation Army's National Advisory Board, and former Chair of the Salvation Army's Southeast Michigan Advisory Board. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Wayne State University, a Master of Science in Finance from Walsh College and a Juris Doctorate from the Michigan State University School of Law.
