Virtual experiences & training projects to build your skills

Forage for Employers: Job Simulations connecting the right talent to the right role
Virtual work experience programs are online programs built and endorsed by leading companies. They contain a series of resources and tasks designed to simulate the real-world experience of starting a career. Virtual work experience programs on Forage are designed to help students:

  • Gain a better understanding of the diverse and exciting career pathways available
  • Build the skills and confidence that will set you up for success as you move from the world of study to the world of work.

These Virtual Experience Programs (created by companies like JPMorgan Chase, Citi, Accenture, BCG, and Deloitte) let you try out 'life-like' tasks that provide a better understanding of what it's like to be a junior employee at that company. They take 5-6 hours to complete and are self-paced. When you sign up for a new virtual work experience program, you choose whether to share your information and submitted work with an employer. As you complete each module, you will unlock real work samples that demonstrate how a graduate at that company would have approached each task, allowing you to assess your work.

  • By completing programs, you will build the skills that demonstrate the career competencies employers seek, develop your confidence, and improve your practical skills.
  • These programs are a risk-free opportunity to try out a career in a leading firm. They are virtual experiences that are open to all students.
  • Just do your best! There are no mistakes in these virtual work experiences. No grades, no pressure!
  • Virtual experiences are truly digital; you can complete them in your own time from anywhere in the world.
  • After completing each Virtual Experience Program, you will receive a personalized Certificate of Completion. To showcase your new skills, you can include each Program on your resume and LinkedIn profile.
  • Some companies provide exclusive opportunities (like online networking events, competitions, and prioritized internship applications) to students who complete their Virtual Experience Program.
