At the Mike Ilitch School of Business, we strive to make our hands-on education accessible to all our students. We provide more than $750,000+ in scholarships exclusively to business students every year, and about 200 business students receive awards. Application process

The Wayne State University scholarship applications for the 2025-2026 academic year is now open for both undergraduate and graduate students. 100+ Ilitch School named scholarships are available through this portal. The deadline to apply for scholarships is March 3, 2025. 

Scholarships may have financial need criteria and, for those scholarships, domestic students must complete a FAFSA to receive scholarship and/or financial aid.

Click the button above and follow the steps below to begin your application today!

  1. Log in to Scholarship Universe with your access ID and password.
  2. Select "Scholarships" from the left-hand menu 
  3. Click the “Filter” option.
  4. Click on "Organization" field, and select or type in "Mike Ilitch School of Business."
  5. Select the scholarship for which you would like to apply.
  6. Complete each section as prompted.
  7. Submit your application by March 3, 2025!

Scholarship applications will be reviewed following the submission deadline and students will be notified about their scholarship status before July 1, 2025.

As a student at the Ilitch School of Business, you can access $350 million in need- and merit-based financial aid resources offered through Wayne State University’s Office of Student Financial Aid and the Graduate School.

Mike Ilitch School of Business Student Emergency Fund

If you’re a business student with an outstanding student account balance, apply to our emergency fund. You can use this scholarship fund to pay for tuition, registration fees and other educational expenses. As part of the application process, please submit your current résumé.
