Dung Huynh
2017 Mike Ilitch School of Business 25 Under 25 winner
B.S. in Marketing, minor in International Studies, expected May 2018
Dung Huynh maintains a strong relationship with the Ilitch School's Career Planning and Placement Office, meeting with their staff monthly to gain essential knowledge and tools to succeed in the professional world. She's also part of Corporate Mentor Program, through which she's been paired with the executive director of CRM and social in the marketing department at Ally Financial for one-on-one career development support.
Dung is the vice president of public relations of her sorority, Kappa Delta, a role she says has tested her leadership skills to the limit. This position has taught her how to take charge of a situation that is not going right, as well as how to be confident, transparent, and positive while serving on the executive board.
Her GPA has consistently improved every semester since her freshmen year, and even while handling a plate full of work and service, she is still on track to graduate with a minor within four years. In addition, she has studied abroad in Italy, served as part of the Wayne State EcoCar team, and is currently a marketing/communications intern at the Children's Hospital of Michigan Foundation.
"My decision to advance my collegiate studies at Wayne State has allowed me to develop and excel personally and professionally. I look forward to continuing my path of higher education and going above and beyond to further myself," Dung says.
