Rick Smith has previously served as a cultural organization member for the Filipino Student Society and as the treasurer, new member educator and alumni chair of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. Through Pi Kappa Alpha, he has aided in a Walkathon for Heinz Prechter Bipolar Research, a Moving for Muscular Dystrophy fundraiser and a 5K for the American Brain Tumor Association. Smith has participated in financial and taxation case competitions, competing against other students using valuation models and transaction plans.
This summer, Smith will work as an incoming capital markets advisory intern for PwC. He currently works as a private equity intern for Lorient Capital. Smith has held previous internships at BorgWarner, PwC and Cohen & Co. He has accumulated nearly 500 volunteer hours with All Hands and Hearts disaster relief.
