Kianna Mateen

B.S. in Global Supply Chain Management and Marketing expected December 2020

Kianna Mateen has University Honors, maintains a 3.83 GPA and has made the dean's six times. She is a member of the PwC Multicultural Professional Readiness Education Program (MPREP) and a mentee in the Ilitch School's Corporate Mentor Program. Kianna plans to pursue her M.B.A. at Wayne State with a concentration in international business and global supply chain management.

Kianna previously worked as a corporate giving college intern at General Motors. She currently works as a marketing assistant in the WSU Marketing and Communications Office and as a marketing intern for Green Living Science. She is also a tutor with the WSU English Language Institute.

Kianna is vice president of WSU's Fashion Design and Merchandising Organization. She is co-founder and chief marketing officer of the Mike Ilitch Marketing Association (previously AAF), where she maintains internal and external communications while creating career opportunities for members.

Kianna is a Nordson BUILDS Scholar and a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, an invitation-only business honor society. Her fields of interest are sustainability, luxury and fashion.
