Andrew Zimmerman earned a bachelor of science degree in global supply chain management from the Mike Ilitch School of Business and graduated magna cum laude in 2016.
In 2016, Andrew was hired by Hanon Systems to be an intern in the purchasing department. After an additional co-op opportunity in the company's global program purchasing team, Andrew was offered a full-time position as a commodity buyer with Hanon Systems. He now serves as the global lead of machined and diecast aluminum components.
As a member of Wayne State's football team for five years, Andrew participated in many different community service events including the Basic Needs Drive and #lunchbags, which both focused on helping out the Detroit community. While working at Hanon Systems, Andrew has also participated in community service events including Life Remodeled, the Salvation Army and the Detroit Rescue Mission.
