Brendan Johnson

2019 Mike Ilitch School of Business 25 Under 25 winner

B.S. in Finance expected May 2020

Captain of the Wayne State men's fencing team, Brendan Johnson is actively involved in the university community, specifically as a financial tutor for both the introduction to finance and intermediate finance courses.

With a current 3.98 GPA, Brendan is able to apply what he is learning in his courses first hand at his job at the Royal Oak Farmers Market. As an agricultural business aid, Brendan has been able to hone his soft skills, practice his salesmanship, and focus on making the customer happy. Brendan was also a mortgage banking intern at Quicken Loans. He was the youngest member to participate in an intern leadership group that helped improve the internship program for years to come.

As fencing team captain, Brendan aims to create a culture where everyone executes at a high level and encourages teammates to drive their individual success. He has also been actively involved in the Renaissance Fencing Club and the Birmingham Bloomfield Community Coalition.
