B.S. in Global Supply Chain Management expected May 2019

As a sophomore, Michael Rachwal completed his first internship at General Motors on the Future Material and Launch team. He also has been part of Wayne State teams in the GM/WSU Case Competition and the Arizona State University Case Competition.

In 2017, Michael became president of the Global Supply Chain Management Association (GSCMA). His goal as the head of the organization is to bridge the gap as best as he can between students and professionals by coordinating events with companies and recruiters. GSCMA has also coordinated many community service projects in conjunction with Gleaners Food Bank, and most recently with the Habitat for Humanity.

Last summer, he completed an internship with General Motors in their EXCEL program within Global Purchasing and Supply Chain where he streamlined products, initiated contacts with suppliers and monitored transmission programs to ensure parts were shipped on time. This upcoming summer he has another internship lined up with General Motors in Program Purchasing for High Performance Vehicles.

Michael currently works as a student assistant in Global Supply Chain Management Department of the Ilitch School as well as at a car dealership (Superior Buick GMC) in sales and finance. He also volunteers his time to coach a travel baseball team.
