Shaylea Bordine

2024 Mike Ilitch School of Business 25 Under 25 winner

Shaylea Bordine maintains a 3.87 GPA and is pursuing a bachelor of science in Business Administration, with a dual major in Management and Marketing. She expects to graduate in August 2024.

She has gained valuable experience at Bordine's, starting as a production worker, later serving as a Sales Intern and currently serving as a Buying and Merchandising Assistant, planning and buying products and designing displays in-store.

 She has also participated in research on a case study focusing on managing organizational structure and provided detailed business insights on a small cafe in midtown. She has conducted further research on diversity in the workplace through with a manager at Little Ceasar's Arena.

Bordine was an active member of Wayne State's volleyball team for the past three years and was a member of the Athletic Leadership Luncheon in 2022. She has also been actively involved in volunteer work, including at the Penrickton Center for Blind Children, Detroit Boxing Club, Toys for Tots and Conversations to Remember.
