Office of International Students and Scholars to host study abroad funding information session

The Office of International Students and Scholars is hosting an information session on study abroad scholarship opportunities on March 29. The event will be held from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. at the Prentis Fishbowl. Presentations will include information about scholarships such as Fulbright, Boren and Gilman. Professor Tim Butler will be at the session to talk to business students directly about opportunities. 

The scholarships can be used as follows: 

Fulbright

- to conduct research in more than 150 countries 

- to study at universities around the world

- to teach English abroad (ETA)  

Boren Scholarships and Fellowships

- Funds study abroad for study of languages that are critical to U.S. security 

- can fund six months to a year for most majors 

- can find summer programs for STEM students 

Gilman Scholarship 

The Gilman Scholarship provides funding for study abroad students who are eligible for Federal Pell Grants.
