Nominations open for Ilitch School Inspirational Teacher Award

If you are a graduate of Wayne State University’s business school, think back on your time as a student. Is there a certain professor who stands out in your memory? Someone who encouraged you, broadened your horizons or otherwise made a lasting, positive impact on your life?

If so, we hope you will consider nominating this individual for the Mike Ilitch School of Business Inspirational Teacher Award. This awards program provides our proud Ilitch Business alumni with the opportunity to submit stories about professors who truly inspired them.

There are only two criteria for the award:

  • The nominator (you) must be a graduate of the Mike Ilitch School of Business
  • The nominee (your professor) must be a living, current or former member of the Ilitch School faculty (full-time or part-time)

The online nomination form is very short and secure. Please submit your completed nomination by June 21, 2019.

The winner will be selected by a special committee of the Mike Ilitch School of Business Alumni Council and will be honored at the school’s Annual Recognition and Awards Program on Oct. 17, 2019, at the Roostertail. The nominator will be invited to attend this event free of charge.

Please contact Vanessa Miller in the Mike Ilitch School of Business Development Office at vanessa.miller@wayne.edu or 313-577-8598 if you have any questions or concerns. Otherwise, we look forward to hearing from you about your inspiring teachers!
