Michigan Women Forward to host educational summit at Mike Ilitch School of Business

Michigan Women Forward will host “Woman Up & Learn,” an educational summit on business success, at Wayne State University’s Mike Ilitch School of Business on Friday, March 15.

The summit is designed to educate women with a passion for owning their own businesses. “It will cover challenges and opportunities inherent in planning, launch and growth,” according to Michigan Women Forward. Participants will gain important contacts and learn new information to drive successful business results.

Formerly known as the Michigan Women’s Foundation, Michigan Women Forward’s mission is to accelerate Michigan's progress in advancing equality and opportunity for women and girls by fostering economic empowerment and committing financially and intellectually to leaving this world a better place, according to its website.

In addition to the Detroit summit at the Ilitch School of Business, Michigan Women Forward is also hosting a Grand Rapids summit at Davenport University on March 1 and a Lansing summit at Lansing Community College on March 8. All three events will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Registration for the summit is $65, but students will be offered a discounted rate. To receive a student discount, contact Lori Wesby at lwesby@miwf.org with “Student” in the subject line. Click here to register for the Detroit summit.
